TESOL Visited My School

It was an honor to have so many friendly TESOL faces visit our Newcomers’ program on Wednesday. Teachers and administrators streamed in and out our classrooms while my teaching partner and I presented lessons on an unlikely pair of topics–alliteration and natural disasters.

During the last group of visitors, my students sang “Calling All Angels,” by Jane Siberry in light of the Japan tsunami. A few of the visiting teachers joined in. The visit ended with this sweet moment of hope and unity.
